Braya Goes Island Bound (BC Gulf Islands)

Categories:

This last week we headed out in the boat for a well deserved vacation. We decided to just take Braya as she is trained to use the Turf patch on the boat and we were unsure on how often we would be on moored to the dock vs on the hook (anchored). Here is a link to my New Puppy List on Amazon with 2 options that have the XL version

Benny got to stay at home with Nana and Grandad. Which entailed going to the river camp on the Skagit river.

Our trip started in Anacortes with a 2 day stop at the Cap Sante Marina. Braya and I enjoyed our morning walk to the Donut House. We were well justified in partaking in some lovely donuts after our 45 minute walk. Braya enjoyed some crumbs and licking my fingers.

Sunday we headed over to our favorite boat stop at Roche Harbor Marina on San Juan Island. The staff at this resort treats everyone as if they just came in on a 100ft super yacht. So friendly and professional. After a brief stay we headed off for the Gulf Islands of British Columbia.

We have visited Maple Bay Marina, located in Duncan BC, several years ago with Braya’s mom Saffy. This trip we visited with Deanna Smith our Canadian Co-breeder. Braya just loved Deanna and wouldn’t stop giving her kisses.

Next stop Telegraph Harbor on Thetis Island.

Our favorite harbor this trip was at Silva Bay on Gabriola Island. We stayed at Pages Resort. Dock staff was fabulous and fit us into a tight spot, but as we booked last minute, we were happy to be on the dock. Pages resort has a lovely little store, stocked with locally sourced meat and veggies. Great premade meals from the local Island Woodfire Restaurant. The store had a good selection of beverages including beer and liquor, and a lovely little book collection.
